Mission, Vision and Values Statement

Mission Statement

At The Clarkson Surgery, our aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients and community in Wisbech and surrounding areas by providing safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led services.

We are committed to offering accessible, consistent, high quality services that meet the needs of all our patients, including those who are housebound and residents in local care homes, ensuring they receive the same high standards of compassionate, attentive care as those who visit us in person.

Through our wide range of services, from long-term condition reviews, on-the-day appointments, contraceptive services, minor surgery, physiotherapy and extended access clinics, we aim to deliver care that is personal, compassionate and inclusive.

Above all, we are passionate about our patient care - placing our patients at the heart of everything we do.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a trusted, forward-thinking GP surgery that provides excellent healthcare in the heart of our market town. We strive to:

  • Deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment, where our clinicians and staff are approachable, respectful and patient focused.
  • Remain at the forefront of modern general practice, offering a wide range of services from coils and implants to steroid injections and health advice, all under one roof, including our in-house dispensary for patient convenience.
  • Use technology smartly and efficiently to improve access, streamline our administration and enhance communication with patients through online contact and digital tools.
  • Provide dedicated support for housebound patients and residents of local care homes, ensuring they receive regular, coordinated and compassionate care in familiar surroundings
  • Play an active role in research and innovation, supporting better understanding, prevention and treatment of disease.
  • Become a Centre of Excellence for teaching and training, nurturing the next generation of medical students, GP Registrars and Nurses.
  • Continue to invest in our staff teams ensuring every member – from GP’s and advanced practitioners to our reception and admin staff have the opportunity to develop their skills, resilience and adaptability.
  • Work collaboratively with local partners, community services and regional networks to strengthen our links and deliver joined-up, patient-centred care for our community.

Our Values

We are Accountable – we take responsibility for our actions and remain open, honest and transparent in all that we do.

We are Fair – we treat everyone – patients, staff and partners with respect,  compassion and understanding, valuing each person as an individual.

We are Professional – we uphold high standards of clinical and administrative excellence.  Our continued success is built on the dedication, learning and professionalism of every member of our staff team.

We are innovative – we constantly review and adapt our services to meet our  patients’ needs, using all available resources and technologies to deliver the best possible care.

We are Caring – we place our patients at the centre of every decision.  We empower them to make informed choices about their health, while engaging with our local community supporting housebound patients and care home residents, and promoting wellbeing and disease prevention.
