Held with the midwife at the North Cambs Hospital.

Family Planning

Full advice and services are available from all doctors during normal surgery hours. Annual pill checks are carried out by the nurses in their normal clinic times.

Well Woman Clinics

Times variable. Cervical smear screening and breast care information available.

Minor Ailments

Our practice nurses can deal with sticky eyes, vaginal thrush, contraception and cystitis (wine infections).

Minor Injuries Unit

The Minor Injuries Unit at North Combs Hospital, Wisbech will deal with:

• Sports injuries

• Minor sprains

• Strains

• Limb fractures (not hips)

• Joint pains

• Minor head injury:
No loss of consciousness
Over two years of age

• Eye problems (Over two years of age):
Foreign bodies
Conjunctivitis

• Minor burns

• Minor wounds

• Insect and animal bites

• Splinters (superficial)

• Cuts

• Bruises due to injuries

• Minor illness
(Over two years of age):
Sore throat
Earache

• Other:

Emergency contraception

The minor injuries unit will open seven days a week from 8.00am - 6.30pm. Tel: 01945 488068

Minor Surgery

All partners carry our minor surgical procedures at the surgery by appointment.

Non-NHS Examinations

The doctors are happy to carry out medicals eg insurance and driving licence, by appointment outside surgery hours. Please ask at reception for the charges for these services.

Yellow Fever Vaccination

The Clarkson Surgery is now an authorised Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.
